Sip Smart! BCSip Smart! BC

Sip Smart! BCis an educational program that helps teach children in grades 4 to 6 about sugary drinks and about making healthy drink choices. Sip Smart! BC™ was created and developed by the BC Pediatric Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation with funding from the BC Healthy Living Alliance.  Sip Smart! BC:

  • aims to raise awareness of the negative health effects associated with the consumption of sugar sweetened beverages
  • grade specific activities to engage students verbally, visually, and experientially in the learning process, and includes handouts, overheads, assessment tools, posters, and teacher backgrounders witih nutrition information
  • materials can be downloaded and printed, or ordered separately
